CAMC S11/X9 tractor debuts

On August 28, CAMC announced two new tractor-trailer products -- the CAMC S11 and CAMC X9. The CAMC S11 was powered by a Cummins X13 560 HP engine with a ZF AMT gearbox with hydraulic retarders, while the CAMC X9 was powered by a Hamma 13-liter 560 HP engine with a Fast manual transmission with hydraulic retarders.

CAMC S11/X9 has a good performance in power, economy and lightweight, which can be called a good helper for users to make money. With a 560 HP engine, the CAMC S11/X9 has ample power reserves to accommodate transport needs in a variety of scenarios.

Furthermore, in order to improve on-road fuel economy, the first step of CAMC S11/X9 is to optimize the appearance of the vehicle aerodynamics. The Cd value of the vehicle's wind drag coefficient is below 0.559, which is much lower than the industry average of 7%. In the second step, the vehicle uses the predictive cruising PCC function, which can form the best driving torque and gear based on road conditions and control strategies through the algorithm, and realize the flat road stability, small slope impact, downhill slide, and big slope downshifting in advance. Third, the vehicle also uses a high efficiency drive axle and low roll resistance tires. Through three steps, CAMC S11/X9 can reduce fuel consumption by 5% compared with similar models under the same operating conditions.

The cab suspension bracket and swing arm use lightweight cast aluminum material instead of cast steel material, superior performance, light weight and environmental protection. In addition, the suspension system has also been optimized to achieve a lifetime maintenance free while reducing weight. For powertrain optimization, CAMC S11/X9 uses lightweight 10T Bridges, imported long maintenance cycle bearings or hub units, and standard maintenance-free drive shafts. After a series of complex design and development, CAMC S11/X9 is 100 kg lighter than the lightest product in the industry in the same configuration.

CAMC S11/X9 is a heavy truck product based on the concept of multiplicative use. The so-called passenger-use concept is to make the seemingly clumsy tractor, regardless of the driving environment, driving experience, or functional configuration, infinitely close to the direction of the passenger car. The goal is to improve the driving texture of truck drivers and ease the fatigue of long drives.

In order to achieve this goal, CAMC S11/X9 firstly uses a large number of curved lines in the appearance design, which gives people a "friendly" feeling visually. The flat floor design of the cab makes the interior space more open. The interior height of more than 2 meters will not give people a sense of cramped. Looking around the central control and instrument panel, the minimalist design language is adopted. The waterfall central control panel is magnificent, and the string type runs through the tuyvent to strengthen the transverse feeling while elegant and mysterious. The surface of the instrument panel is made of soft enamelled plastic and with real sutures. This technology, which is often used in high-end passenger cars, appears on CAMC S11/X9 without any incompatibility, which brings out the best in the overall passenging-use style.

The volume of the roof cabinet is up to 254L. There is a hidden table and car refrigerator in the car, the driver can drink a cold soda in the rest, summer dissipation to restore the good state of work. If you need to cook in the car, the car also provides 220V independent power supply, which can support the use of 1000W power appliances.

In vehicle driving, intelligent auxiliary driving functions, such as lane keeping LKA, intelligent pilot ICC, adaptive cruise ACC, blind spot monitoring BSD, tire pressure monitoring TPMS, driver fatigue monitoring DMS and other systems, have also appeared on CAMC S11/X9 to comprehensively guarantee vehicle driving safety. When stopping for a rest, the car is equipped with air safety monitoring. When CO and CO2 concentration in the driving room exceeds the standard, the air conditioning fresh air system will be automatically started. Outside the vehicle, the sentinel monitoring system uses high-definition cameras to monitor the vehicle's surroundings in real time, and provides security measures such as double flashing + horn driving + remote APP message push + cloud video backup according to the alarm level.

The launch of CAMC S11/X9 is not only a big step for CAMC in the high-end heavy truck market, but also a glimpse of the current achievements of domestic heavy truck products and the development direction of the industry in the future.
